２００５－２００６のミネソタの冬は、ここ数日前まで、余り寒くありませんでした。今日は、昼間から、-６　Fと冷え込み、さらに、夜の１０時頃には、－１２ F (Wind Chill*--- 風速を考慮した時に、実際、体が、感じる温度 ---　では、－２０F)になりました。このような天候の際、外に出なければならない時は、しっかりと、着込まなければ、危険です。翌日、凍死者が、一人あったと、ラジオで、聞きました。寒暖計で、見られるように、－１２ Fは、大体、－２５ C (摂氏零下２５度)です。最近は、セントポールでは、めったにありませんが、数年前までは、毎冬、－３０Fが、２、３日程ありました。060217
